Somewhere between 50,000 and 75,000 people march from near Central Park to the United Nations on September 20, 2023. This preceded week-long discussions at the United Nations. The march was joyous, nutritive, overflowing, and felt much larger than the numbers would indiate—and the route seemed much longer than the 1.7 miles indicated. We were on our feet for at least four hours. Youth and people of color were a keystone of our moveable congregation.
My portrayal includes short video clips, found at links below each video thumbnail. (Full movie coming.)
